Ducato Ventilation Intake Water Deflector

Fiat Ducato bonnet ventilation intake ducting water deflector tray to solve another Fiat Ducato engine bay water ingress issue. Water running into the intake ducting from the bonnet vent grills seeps through the rubber seal attached to the ducting. This leak drips onto the engine, gearbox and electrics causing serious expensive water damage.

My design doesn’t stop the leak but collects the water and diverts it safely away via two pipes which are included. It is 3D printed in ASA high temperature filament, and comes complete with stainless steel screws and full fitting instructions. It fits Ducato, Boxer and Relay vans (Coach built and Panel Vans, Not A Class) from 2006 up to 2024 Gen3 and Gen4, RHD and LHD. If you’re unsure if it fits your van send me a picture of the front of your van with the bonnet open. I am the only person who can advise you honestly, being MY design, printed individually by me.

FITTING ISSUE NOTE. Gen4 vans from 2022 on may have an engine intake pipe very close to the underside of the ventilation duct. This leaves very little room for my deflector. See the bottom picture. In this instance please ask for a BVD MK4 which is slimmer to give better clearance, also the drain pipes face forwards for better access.

Price is £25+P&P £3.75 for BVD MK3 or MK4

BEWARE of Chinese copies on eBay. They are appalling with NO customer support and made of P.L.A. which is totally unsuitable for engine bay temperatures. The only genuine deflector (BVD) on eBay is listed by us, paulandchrissybabe

To Solve This Problem Use B.V.D. Mk4

Check if your van has this ducting very close to the underside of your ventilation duct. If it does, you will need a new version I have designed called BVD MK4 which is slimmer. Due to the tightness of space it would be necessary to remove the deflector at service times to remove the air filter. I have therefore moved the drain pipes to the front to enable easier dismantling. Removal can be achieved in about 1 minute.
